Jason DiPasqua, COO and spokesperson for Heritage Village, recently announced Eric Hutchins, LNHA, MBA, CDP has assumed the role of Reginal Administrator for the Clyde and Waterville campuses. “His experience operating dementia and cognitive impairment care programs is important to our Compass, Dementia Navigation Programs”, stated Mr. DiPasqua.
Mr. Hutchins is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator who has been in the long-term care industry for seven years. He has successfully operated a 180-bed SNF specializing in Behavioral Health and, in the past, has operated a consulting company and held the position of VP of Operations for Model Services.
Eric has an extensive education in healthcare with degrees from Terra State College, Associate in Applied Business & Marketing; Bowling Green State University, Bachelors of Science specializing in Healthcare Administration; and Cleveland State University, MBA specializing in Healthcare Administration. He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, as well as, a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia Care Trainer.
“I have always found enjoyment working with the elderly population. Every day is different, interesting and exciting”, stated Mr. Hutchins. “There is a special place in my heart for individuals suffering from dementia and mental illness”.
As an active member of the community, Eric serves as a Board Member for the Huntington’s Disease Society of America’s Northeastern Ohio Chapter; Rotary Club member; Stewart’s Caring Place Board Member; member of Ohio Health Care Association, member of American College of Healthcare Association and is active with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Over the years, he has also been a volunteer for American Red Cross Board of Directors, Big Brother/Big Sisters and Haven of Rest shelter. He is an active fundraiser and volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and the Walk To End Alzheimer’s.
Heritage Village of Clyde and Heritage Village of Waterville offer Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Therapeutic Modalities, and 24 Hour Skilled Nursing. The centers work with local physicians and provide psychiatry services, social services and pastoral care services.
